Does Paddy know best? The names at the top of the Paddy Power list look sensible to me. http://www.paddypower.com/bet/current-affairs/church-betting. One would only be a bishop in the alternate world of BBC comedy. The other outsiders main public claim to fame is being alphabetically the first woman priest. 32 ordained then. Can we look forward say 3 women bishops next year. Will Nick Baines be able to wait of one? His blog indicates not but it would be a good start for the new diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales which will shortly have two vacancies i.e. Bradford and Huddersfield. Any other women who should already be bishops?
