I largely agree with this. It seems outrageous for the Barnabas trustees to set themselves up as an alternative court of appeal, and expect the Christian public to just accept Patrick’s word against the woman’s. So I think he does need to resign, so as not to sully the reputation of the ministry. On the other hand, I think it is going too far to demand that he repents of what he says he has not done, before he can be restored to ministry. We only have two testimonies, so far as I know, and it is entirely possible that the court came to the wrong decision. Is it right that a possibly innocent man should have his ministry ended for ever?
