The internet will transform civilisation as much as the invention of writing or the printing press - even ushering in new types of religion in the world, the former Chief Rabbi, Lord Sacks, has suggested.

As I have said, the revolution I would like to see is the use of the internet for serious and candid debate and disagreement, open to both scholars and lay Christians, to explore and challenge the strongest arguments for and against the various, mutually incompatible, versions of Christian truth held by those who believe that Christianity is in some sense true. This would be much better than debate/disagreement carried on in journals, books, working parties or verbally in General Synod.
