This all seems a little dramatic to !me. The C/E is changing it needs to change, mostly because the church is for the marginalized, not to create the marginalized. The C/E already has a working model of high and low church formal and informal worship there is a place for everyone, what there isn’t is a place for people where they want to be. That is a different thing all together. Diversity can give routine as well as a place for everyone but there will always need to be compromise, what greater compromise is there than God sacrificing his son or Jesus the said son saying love one another as I have loved you BUT if you fail pray confess and make amends, and if you fail again try again, and again and again. So who are we to judge? But we can still keep ourselves safe from that which might affect our spiritual journey and life with Jesus. The C/E will have transition and some will find it difficult to adjust but it won’t split rather it will go in different directions and grow and will unite when it counts.
