Saturday Gathering Baptisms and Confirmations. January 18, 2014 by Fulcrum Saturday 11th January, on the Eve of the church remembering Jesus baptism, 19 very special people were baptised and confirmed at Saturday Gathering. With a congregation of over 80 people crammed into a meeting room this was no ordinary Church of England baptism and confirmation.Five years ago Halifax Food and Support Drop In was created one of the early food banks. It's purpose was to give food to support the hungry but also to build relationships that would enable those needing support to see Jesus working through the volunteers.
