Philip Mounstephen at the Launch of the Independent Review of FCO support for Persecuted Christians May 10, 2019 by Fulcrum First of all, I do really want to thank the Foreign Secretary for launching this Independent Review into the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s own response to this pressing issue. And I want to tell you Foreign Secretary that there are many, many people around the world who are very grateful for that, and for giving it priority at a time when other issues and considerations could so easily swamp it. And if I may say so you can’t hear the Foreign Secretary speak without recognising how closely he holds this issue to his heart. In his own words, ‘I would like this exercise to consider some tough questions and offer ambitious policy recommendations’.
