Ten years after 7/7 – BIshop Nick Baines July 6, 2015 by Fulcrum I remember 7 July 2005 very clearly. I was in my office in Croydon when a friend phoned to say she couldn't meet me in London later because “London is closed”. She said the train from Leicester had been stopped at Peterborough and turned around. Passengers had been told that a power surge had shut the rail network.
